MARCH 3RD-7TH 2004 BOYS OR GIRLS( 3A) HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS AT THE
TACOMA DOME IT IS IN ONE OF THESE NEWSPAPERS. THE SEATTLE P.I./ THE
SEATTLE TIMES/ OR THE TACOMA NEWS TRIBIUNE.ONE OF THE COACHES SAID., I
COULD HAVE STRANGLED THE REF.OR IF I COULD PUT MY HANDS AROUND THE
REFS NECK, I WANTED TO READ THIS COACHES REACTION..THANKYOU RI found a Seattle Time article dated March 6 in which a coach talks
about having confrontations with fans, hecklers and disgruntled
parents (not referees) in which he reportedly says:
"I thought I handled that pretty well, but deep inside I just wanted
to strangle him."
Is this it? If so, I can post it as an answer for you, identify the
coach, and let you read the entire article.

coach making the quotes was Mount Si coach Garrick Phillips:
?I had a parent come to me right after a tough loss," Mount Si coach
Garrick Phillips said. "We were still picking up the towels off the
bench, and he wanted to know why his kid wasn't playing more because
he'd sure like to be.
"I turned to him and said: 'You know what, there's 11 other kids that
wish they were playing more.' And I walked away. I thought I handled
that pretty well, but deep inside I just wanted to strangle him."
